Formed in 2008 with a desire to compete in club and national championships, It was the company’s goal to set them self apart from other race teams, to make use of new technology and provide a smart professional operation that drivers, Parents and Sponsors would be proud to be part of. The team soon associated itself with well known brands and suppliers who would help the team push forward.
It wasn’t long after the team took delivery of a new Sprinter Van and custom made GH Awnings. The Van was kitted out and was soon ready to support the team with its state of the art awning and hospitality.
located within the Daytona kart circuit in Rooksley, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, where meticulous preparation is carried out on a daily basis, and it’s this attention to detail that contributes to the teams achievements gained through 2008/2009 including Junior and Senior Super 1 championship titles, O’plate champions, GP plate champions. TKM Festival champions and numerous track fastest laps along the way, with use of a 1300metre race track on site the team can speed up driver development and also test equipment when required.
The team and operations is managed by Ashley Orchard who himself a former kart racer and senior member of a factory works team was responsible for designing and producing winning karts and drivers, Ashley has helped his drivers to achieve 7 British championships to include British 0 Plates, GP Plates and British S1 Champions This experience has proved vital to the success of the team.
2010 Is set to be another successful year, the KR-Sport team will continue to attend the British TKM S1 Championships where they will be out to defend their two British Championships and will also field a team at the Rotax Super One Championships along with Pre Super One test events and all other major UK Championships.
