Calling Comer Cadet and Mini Max Drivers

KR-Sport are keen to speak to comer cadet drivers moving up to the mini max class or currant Mini max drivers looking to compete at the sharp end of the S1 and STARS grid in 2011.

Orchard explains “At this time we don’t have a mini max driver for the 2011 season and so we are looking for two drivers to fly the flag for the team in 2011. We have worked with a number of drivers in the mini max class during 2010 that have enjoyed success with us and benefited from equipment and tuition which helped them to run at the sharp end of the grid.

If you are the rite driver please contact Ashley Orchard at KR-Sport m 07921 225 680 e.ash@kr-sport.com

Eadon on top step

British Champions KR-Sport made their third trip to the Rowrah race track in Cumbria for the 2nd Round of the TKM British S1 Championship; it was KR-Sports David Eadon who dominated the results taking both final wins. Team Mates Anthony Lester and James Bartlett had a mixed weekend with Lester running in 3rd Place for a while in final 2 after driving of grid 22 in the first final, a last lap battle dropped Lester from 4th to 8th Place. Bartlett was unlucky being caught up in the first corner pushing which put him at the back of the pack in both finals but managed to pull himself back to a respectable 12th and 11th, James Also claimed Fastest Lap in heat 3 on Sunday. The KR-Sport junior drivers lacked the luck needed over the weekend Both Jordan Hankins rookie to S1 and Billy Baxter showed they had the speed through the weekend but were unable to turn it into the end result, Jordan has made big improvements over the first two rounds in his first season at S1 and Billy is a quick lad but unfortunately is at a disadvantage due to restrictors.

KR-Sport has places available in the team for both TKM and Rotax drivers at Super One and club events. To find out more news and information on the team please take a look around our site or contact Ashley Orchard team manager ash@kr-sport.com m.07921225680.

KR-Sport takes it to the Max

Team driver Oliver Hodgson has been flying the flag for KR-Sport with many successful results in the JNR Max class; Oliver has stepped into the Rotax class for 2010 and become one of the top drivers on the grid, at times he has outclassed his competition along with his set up and equipment. Team Manager Ashley Orchard commented “2010 has seen us field a team at the Rotax S1 Championships, we are already successful in the TKM Class with 6 British titles to our name over the past two years but it was important for us to move into Rotax and continue this success. The whole team have worked very hard and this shows with some great results, Oliver’s team mates Will Blackwell Chambers and Robert Sherman have also shown plenty of speed and have improved as the year has gone on with Chambers qualifying 8th fastest overall at the Whilton Mill S1 Round, This is the same for our Mini Max Drivers Samuel Oram Jones and George Line who have both been very quick, some of our less experience drivers are going through the learning stage of Super One and so have been caught up in incidents on track”

Ashley is keen to grow the Rotax team in preparation for 2011 Orchard - “We are looking to speak to front running Cadet drivers who may be looking at the mini max class and also to Jnr and Snr drivers, It is important to start planning so that we can make the most of winter testing in 2010/11 we also hope to have a team at the Euro Max series and there is plans to attend the 4th round at GENK in 2010 to further our preparation”

Cadet Driver George Bridson was on from after only recently coming off his novice plates George qualified on grid 7 and drove a great race where he was well placed in 6th until the last corner; George crossed the line in 7th this result was well deserved from the young driver.
